Grapes - Tinta Amarela (30%), Touriga Franca (20%) and various others (50%).
Appearance - clear and bright with a beautiful and appealing medium intensity pink hue. A distinct watery rim and some visible tears.
Nose - clean and youthful with a medium intensity, showing right upfront the scent of fresh red fruits resembling strawberries and raspberries, than a leafy hint, a very slight yeasty note and a flowery undertone. All very fresh and primal.
Palate - bone dry rosé with a medium level of acidity, enough to refresh the palate. Low tannins, perfectly ripe and integrated, medium level of alcohol and body. It is showing a medium intensity flavour profile, once again dominated by red fruits with a very noticeable note of cranberry, once again accompanied by raspberry and strawberry and the yeasty hints. Medium plus length.
Conclusions (15,75/20) - a good quality wine, I love the balance of the whole with fresh red fruits, a mellowed palate and just enough acidity to keep it lively. Light but mouth-coating. Totally dry and slightly grippy it is perfect for light, fresh dishes and can even see it matching well with a meaty barbecue, which it did, 2 hours after tasted! More than ready to drink this Summer.
