Appearance - clear, very bright and vivid colour, appealing, with medium minus intensity. Very few visible bubbles, which are very tiny and slow rising.
Nose - clean, youthful aromas with medium intensity. Shows ripe red apples, fresh brioche, some suave yeasty notes and just slightly honeyed.
Palate - dry, a high but spot on mouthwatering acidity, medium alcohol level and a medium plus body with a creamy mousse. The medium plus intensity palate has some ripe green fruit, apples and some pear, the autolytic character is discrete with just some yeasty hints but there is lots of mineral stony and fresh notes. Nice long length.
Conclusions (17,75/20) - very good quality wine, super crispy and zingy, with very good fruit weight rounding the palate, something the creamy mousse also supports towards a long mineral stony aftertaste. There is slight traces of autolytic character but they are not the dominant notes, for now its the fresh fruit and minerality that gives it charm, lift and excellent drink-ability. This is ready to drink as intended but should keep well for the next 3 to 4 years. Very well crafted and full of tipicity. This house is absolutely reliable and there isn't year gone by without popping some bottles of this Brut Réserve.
