Appearance - clear, bright with a medium plus intensity ruby color. Lots of visible tears.
Nose - clean, developing with medium intensity. First impression comes from oak with clear notes of vanilla, than some fresh black fruits start to appear, floral violet nuances and a hint of orange blossom.
Palate - dry, medium acidity but quit refreshing, medium plus fine grained tannins, medium body and alcohol. Medium plus flavor intensity with ripe but fresh black fruits, a suave plummy note, restrained floral notes of violet, some mineral graphite notes and slightly chemical. Medium plus length.
Conclusions (16/20) - quite nice, much more interesting palate than the oaky aromas where hinting. A fresh and elegant palate, a nice fruit weight, showing ripe but fresh black fruits and there's a streak of graphite spiking it up. Although fully ready to drink, still shows some drying tannins present but enough fruit to help it mellow over the next 2 years.
