Domaine Ostertag Zellberg Pinot Gris 2005, Alsace

Appearance – clear, medium minus lemon-green

Nose – clean, medium intensity, developing, stone fruit aromas like apricot and hints of floral.

Palate – Off dry, medium plus acidity, medium alcohol, no tannin and medium plus body. Medium plus intensity showing tropical fruits and stone fruits like melon and apricot with hints of roses and slightly honeyed. Consistent with the nose. On the medium plus length, some distinctive green apple peel after-taste.

Conclusions – Very good quality, high priced, ready to drink but will not improve.
