Herdade do Peso Vinha do Monte rose 2013 regional Alentejo
Tasted March 2014
Appearance - lovely pink color with medium plus intensity.
Nose - clean, youthful aromas with medium intensity. Red fruit aromas, ripe but fresh, mainly raspberry and red currant.
Palate - dry, medium acidity body and alcohol. Medium flavor intensity with the ripe but fresh red fruits of the nose and a nice leafy hint. Medium length.
Conclusions (15,25/20) - a balanced wine, with its ripe character refreshed by enough acidity. Good fruit weight, with considerable intensity giving way to a round, mouthcoating palate. Nice summer companion, competent with no flaws.
