Maison Louis Jadot Vosne-Romanée 2003 Red AC Villages
Tasted on June 2011
Appearance - clear, medium plus intensity ruby colour.
Nose - clean, pronounced intensity showing aromas of ripe blueberry, black cherry, some mocha and sweet spices.
Palate - dry, medium acidity, medium minus alcohol level perceived, a velvety medium tannin level and a medium plus body. The flavour intensity is delivering pronounced ripe fruit, some black chocolate with an earthy undertone, that prevail through a medium plus length.
Conclusions - (16/20) Good quality, high priced (€35), ready to drink and probably will not improve, looks like a perfect timing for consumption. A rich, creamy, voluptuous wine with a velvety texture, although a bit plummy it is delivering perfect drink ability and pleasure.
