Casa Cadaval Padre Pedro Reserva 2005 DOC Tejo Red
Tasted on July 2011
Appearance - clear, medium plus intensity ruby hue.
Nose - clean, medium intensity, developing dark fruit aromas, with an evident floral undertone and a slight leathery note.
Palate - dry, medium acidity, medium tannin an medium alcohol level. Body is medium light with a medium flavour intensity of black cherry, lots of liquorice and some fresh vegetal character of green bell pepper and some eucalyptus.Medium length.
Conclusions -(14,5/20) Good quality, mid priced (€8), ready to drink and apparently will not improve, it is lacking acidity. Begins velvety and smooth, with some spicy character, but shows a lack of substance at its core. Nevertheless still enjoyable.
