Grapes - Viosinho, Rabigato, Verdelho, Arinto and Muscat
Appearance - clear and bright, medium intensity lemon colour. Some visible tears. Nose - clean, openly youthful and medium plus intensity fruity aromas. Ripe green fruit notes of cooked pear and apple, grapey, tropical fruit notes of ripe pineapple and some fresh hints of citrus, lemony touches.
Palate - dry, medium plus acidity, a round palate with medium plus body weight and medium alcohol. Medium plus intensity largely fruited flavours. All the ripe notes of the nose are joined by a honeyed feel, a little vegetal streak and a flowery finish with medium plus length.
Conclusions (15,5/20) - good quality, well made wine with a marked ripe fruit character. Totally fruit driven. A full, oily, mouth-coating texture. There's enough acidity to carry the weight but freshness is a bit shadowed by the ripe, sweet notes. Easy drinking wine with a mellow feel that's definitely consensual. Drink now, not intended for ageing, but quite right for the summer season and with a very smart price tag.
