Appearance - a medium plus intensity purplish hue thats clear and bright. Some tears visible.
Nose - clean, youthful nose with medium plus intensity. Shows ripe red fruits as the dominant note, mainly strawberry and redcurrant, a touch of mint and chocolate, leafy and oaky hints.
Palate - dry, medium but refreshing acidity, medium plus grainy tannins, medium body and medium plus warming alcohol. Medium plus flavor intensity once again full of fresh red fruits, a defined note of sour cherry joined by strawberry and redcurrant, some vegetal, stalky traces, a touch of mint and some dried oak notes with a whiff of vanilla.
Conclusions (17,25/20) - very good quality, ripe fruit but very vivacious and edgy. Grainy, spicy tannins mixed with fresh red fruit with just the correct amount of acidity keeping it lively all the way through the medium plus length, which is just a bit hot from the alcohol power. This is totally ready to dink, but the tannins could use a couple of years to mellow. A big smack of quality for a fantastic price, really unmissable.
