William Cole Mirador Selction Chardonnay 2006 Casablanca Valley Chile
Tasted May 2012
Appearance - clear and bright medium intensity gold colour.
Nose - clean, fully developed aromas with medium plus intensity resembling marmalade, citrus notes of ripe tangerine, some stone fruits, mainly peaches, a leafy vegetal note, some toasty oak and a light tropical undertone.
Palate - dry wine showing a balanced structure with medium plus acidity, alcohol and body. Flavour intensity is also at a medium plus level totally in tune with the nose it just adds a lychee fruit note.
Conclusions (16/20) - good quality wine, good structure, a ripe tropical fruit character but balanced with refreshing acidity. Elegant creaminess, very smooth mouth-fell, an alluring wine that is ready to drink, in fact it is peeking.
