Appearance - clear and very bright ruby colour with medium intensity. Showing thick. Preponderant legs.
Nose - clean, youthful aromas with medium plus intensity, a ripe streak of red fruits like cherry, plum, some ripe black fruits like blueberry and black currant, a little sweet spice of vanilla
Palate - dry, medium acidity still mangling to be refreshing, medium plus level of big, velvety ripe tannins, medium plus warming alcohol and body. Pronounced flavour intensity with layers of ripe and creamy red fruits, mainly cherry and plum, blackcurrant and milky chocolate mixed with lots of kirsch. Medium plus length, slightly bitter.
Conclusions (16,5/20) - a good quality wine, indistinct, (could be Australian...) but super polished, shows the smoothest of palates that is mouth coating and ripe, nevertheless maintains a fruit freshness that keeps it interesting. Primal and immensely fruity is showing immediate appeal but will keep well for the next couple of years. A little bitter note on the end, but nothing big. Heady alcohol. Fat, round and rich, not my style at all, but very well knitted, a crowd pleaser.
